Grexen, First company to offer Robotic Duct Cleaning in the US
After two of Grexens clients experienced chatastrophic fires originating in inaccesible areas of their duct network Grexens founding owner, Karl Riekstins, felt that there had to be some new technology somehere in the world that could help prevent this. He scoured the internet obsesively searching for possible solutions and after several months, he accidentally came accross a video recoded in spanish, a language he didn't speak, but what he saw he belived would be the biggest advancement the industry had seen in decades.
Tienova, a company based in Spain, had developed a piece of technology that promised to be the answer to a dire international problem, grease accumulating rampantly out of reach, an imminent threat for fire. Five years later, after unsuccessfuly trying to finance the expensive piece of machinery made by a foreign cpmpany with no US ties, Tienova partnered with OMNI, the America's leading kitchen exhaust cleaning supplier of innovative grease containment and access panel products. Tienova finally had a distributor in the USA, and Grexen pounced at the opportunity, purchasing the first unit, putting it into service almost immediately. Over the last 2 years, this cleaning sytem has exceeded all Karl's expectations and as he had hoped, is doing the seemingly imposible.
BIG CHALLENGES overcome with Robotic Restoration

SHOPPING MALL
with 75ft long RIVER OF GREASE
Innaccesible Ducts NO MORE!
Robotic duct cleaning is the biggest advancement in kitchen exhaust cleaning indusrty in over 50 years. As the construction of buidings become larger and larger, the more difficult it is to vent out the kitchen exhaust fumes. The most significant threat for fire resides in the duct network of commercial kitchen exhaust systems, particularly when the majority of the ducts lie in-between floors of shopping malls, hospitals and universities. Many remain uncleaneable because they are butted up against pillars, returrn air ducts or gas lines making them extremely difficult to access, let alone clean. Over time, the grease condesation that occurs in the ducts causes layer upon layer of grease to become hardened.
The robotic advantage:
The Tegras cleaning systemu utilizes compressed air enabling maximuming torque to be delivered directly to the duct surface. This effectively allows is to restore virtually any system, regardless of condition, to bare metal from a single entry point, and at a distance up to 75 feet from a single access panel. As long as we can install an access panel somewhere on a duct run, it can be cleaned to like-new condition. Grexen has succesfully restored some of the most complex and chalenging duct configurations imaginable, avoiding our clients the exorbitantly expensive alternative of replacing the ducts entirely and eliminating the threat for fire completely.
Below are examples of 4 different challenging systems, the initial condition of the systems and our final results to help illustrate the incredible potential of both the technology and the tecniques we've learned to restore some of the most complex of systems.
